to answer emails, calls and requests after work hours.

Susan Valentine, explained that feeling burnt out from work is not uncommon and
that it can seriously affect with your life at home and sex life. She told Global

home can be difficult to implement. Becoming stressed at work leads to reactive
feelings which could push our partners away and feel disconnected.
This news article gave recommendations from Valentine to

recommendation she told Global News is to put aside your work phone before bed,
if its possible, and to make time for you and your partner/family while trying
to prevent factors from work to interfere.
It was also stated that it is also important for
employers to help reduce the stress gained from the workplace. Offices that have
a better work-life balance can create more productivity as well as the
satisfaction of its employees. In doing so, employees will feel much happier with
their work and personal life which could result in fewer sick days and less
conflict in the workplace as stress retained from work leads to these negative
outcomes. Jessica O’Reilly then ended the interview by explaining that arriving
first at work and leaving the latest does not mean you will do a good job but
will only lead to increase levels of stress.

After reading this news article about bringing your
stressful feelings home and how it can impact your personal life makes me think
about my future career. It is not a surprise that we get stressed from work but
allowing it to interfere with your relationship with others is something I
would like to avoid in the future. Having an office job, which is the career I most
likely will have, can be stressful and requires a lot of time and effort which
can lead to stress. Ensuring that issues from work at not brought back home is something
I will aim for.
